Antifungal Recipe

Internal fungal problems are usually caused by an overgrowth of the fungus candida albicans in the digestive tract and colon. This fungus lives naturally in the intestines, along with the body's good bacteria. At times, an overuse of antibiotics, corticosteroids, poor diet or other factors can spur candida overgrowth. Consequently, natural internal bacteria can die fighting it off, putting the body in a diseased state. An antifungal recipe is needed to kill of excess candida. The most effective antifungal recipe includes a combination of foods, spices and herbs which kill excess body fungus.

Foods To Limit or Eliminate

Depending on the severity of your fungal problem, there are certain foods that you should limit or preferably eliminate from your diet for awhile. These include foods that contain gluten or sugar. The candida albicans fungus thrives on sugar and gluten. No matter what anti-fungal recipe you use, you will have problems getting rid of excess candida if you continue to put gluten and sugar in your body. The quandary is that most commercial foods such as bread, pasta, cereal and milk contain gluten. Also, many canned foods such as vegetables contain sugar. You will also need to be more cautious when you eat out at restaurants, as many meats are marinaded or basted with wheat products, a food with a high level of gluten (See Reference 2 below for more information on candida albicans overgrowth).

Foods To Eat

If you like breads and pastas, there are brown rice substitutes (contains no gluten) that you can eat on your anti-fungal diet. There are also brown rice milks, gluten-free snacks and sugar-free desserts that you can eat, as well. Most meat, fish, eggs, vegetables, legumes, potatoes, yams and grains such as millet, buckwheat and basmati rice do not contain sugar or gluten, either.

Vegetables contain digestive enzymes, which can actually kill excess candida. Make sure your anti-fungal recipes include plenty of raw and cooked vegetables. You can clean your raw vegetables with a vinegar and water spray, which will kill any parasites present on them. Also, do not overcook frozen vegetables, as that can dilute the enzymes (See Reference 1 below for more information on anti-fungal foods).

Other Foods

You should eat sugar-free yogurt, as yogurt contains probiotics. Probiotics are "friendly" bacteria that can replenish your body's natural bacteria, which can help fight off excess candida albicans. Garlic is known to have anti-fungal capabilities, as does ginger. Eat several garlic cloves per day, and use ginger on your food. Other foods or spices that can kill fungus are virgin coconut oil and cayenne pepper. As far as herbs, senna, Pau d'Arco tea and aloe vera leaves are affective additives to a anti-fungal recipe. Aloe vera is believed by some to heal the lining of the intestines after a fungal infection.

Time Frame

There is no set time frame for eliminating excess candida with an anti-fungal recipe diet. You may start noticing an improvement in your symptoms after a few days (i.e. gastritis getting better or migraines). However, it can take several months to get rid of candida overgrowth.
