How to Maintain Weight Loss After a Water Fast

A water fast is a common method for quick weight loss but many people struggle to maintain weight loss after a water fast. Below are the most effective ways to help keep maintain weight lost during a water fast.

    On the first day after a water fast, you should drink 8 glasses of water, and 4-6 small glasses of fruit juice. Stick to simple juices, like plain apple juice, plain orange juice, cranberry, grape, and so on. Stick to organic fruit juices, and make sure everything is 100% juice with no added sugar.

    On the second day after the water fast, drink some vegetable juice along with some fruit juice. Avoid vegetable juices with lots of sodium, especially stuff like V8.

    On the third day start to eat fruits and vegetables. I also suggest eating plain nuts. This will help your digestive system adjust to eating whole foods again.

    On the fourth day try to adjust back to your normal diet. Including meats, seafood, and simple carbs. However, slowly adjust back to heavily processed foods, and high amounts of sugar or salt if they are part of your diet. Eating too many of these at once will cause digestive problems and cramps.
